Very busy and not adequately staffed for the local portion of the bus terminal. It also needs a more specific security detail. I have encountered men with harassing tendencies and have had to fend for myself in evening hours. The Martz company is efficiently run and buses are traditionally on schedule. They are knowledgeable and kind and I've never had problems getting where I need to go.
It's amazing that the same terminals with the same services in two different counties can be so different. Easy access to many downtown businesses from this terminal, COLTS bus routes and schedules readily available, Martz employees are friendly at both locations, the vending machines cost more for snacks here and the coffee vending machine brews the coffee much more efficiently. The restrooms are far cleaner here. The seating is not comfortable, but since there is a larger terminal space and it is near many downtown businesses including the mall, this is not an issue. Four stars due to indifference of COLTS service center occasionally.
Procedures seems to change rather frequently and it can be annoying. Also a bit pricey. E-tickets are a very nice addition to Martz though.
I don't get why they close so early. They spent a boat load of money to build it and they close at 8;30pm. Right now i am forced to use the shuttle buss to get home from work at night. I do not get of until 9 pm. I wait at the station until 10. Outside i might add. All the time and all night long buses from dif. cities and states come in and they are locked out of the station. The winter is coming. Why have a station and a few bus that drop off there all night. When the place is locked and closed and people are freezing outside. It makes zero sense!
A relatively new bus terminal in Scranton. A much improvement since there old one. Clean and organized.
