My review is based entirely on my opinion, experiences and own inside look at this place. I had no way to comment unless I gave a 1 star which 0 woukd fit best.

I'd like to see this place cleaned, maybe working with legitimate shelters and rescues to show their adoptabe dog. Kittens taken from shelters instead of being taken odd the street and feral, work with area shelters, quarantining fish and treating them before putting them out (with obvious ICK) and contaminating tanks which results in killings

Had many people, not just my own personal experiences, complaining of the same issues. Algae all over salt water tanks and the outside walls. Dead fish on tank stands and floors. Sick and diseased fish, esp sale water, which have killed MANY peoples salt water aquariums within days!! "Weekly puppies from local breeders"? Where's the care for the aninals?

Before I knew the horrors of puppy mills, brokers, and the pet stores that sell kittens and mill pups I regretfully purchased a puppy. I couldn't interact with her or hold her. She was impossible to potty train but training helped. Any place was her bathroom but what should I have expected, right? They live on wood shavings, are never let out or even walked. Many haven't seen the sun is even stepped on grass!!!

When interested in a pup you are not allowed to hold it nor are you allowed to take photos of it or even photos of their store!

This place needs to be shut down!!

A dog growing up in a cage and being shipped to other stores when they don't sell doesn't solve anything, it adds to it! No "local breeder" information or papers when asked, only a 30 day health warranty..its all a money making scam that more and more are taking up!! $1000+ for an in altered dog with no socialization!! A reputable breeder gives a year or 2 warranty, family purebred tree, AKC registration, etc.

If you want to sell, pull from local shelters x help those animals. Not the ones who's mothers are stuck in tiny wired cages, with no human touch, love or compassion snd having litter after litter to reach supply & demand.

Had a great time at DC pets they have fast and friendly service and many animals and fish to look at.. Its family owned, which means to me they know how to treat their customers.. They are very knowledgeable about the reptiles, fish, cats, and dogs... So if you want someone who knows the animals and can tell you about whats best to buy DC pets is the place to go.

Normal small pet store. Ok fish with ok prices with little stock . Can’t take any pictures or video calls in the store. And they follow u around to watch you.

Dogs living in small glass enclosures, never being walked or socialized, sleeping on wood chips, never allowed to be held by potential buyers or have a photo taken to show others the cute pup they want. First, any reputable breeder who cares for their dogs and pups would NEVER give one of their pups to a pet store... BUT Puppy Millers do!! They are HUGE in Pa and will ship pups everywhere. Its how they make $$. They profit off Dog/Puppy farms! Google Puppy Mills or "Where do pet stores get their puppies".(( Viewer discretion is advised!))

One word description: Deplorable!

buyers entire tanks and losing the $ it cost them to purchase everything and try to saving what they can.

A man that has no problem with this all is a man with no compassion for the animals he "prides" in and is nothing more than the one responsible for the poor neglect and cruelty these animals face DAILY.

There is an axolotl there that is obviously VERY malnourished and has ammonia burns. He is literal skin and bone and also kept with huge silver fish and anybody that knows about axolotls knows that they can’t be kept with fish! When a friend of mine called, she brought up his lack of gills. She kindly said “oh well they regenerate!” My friend asked why they keep him in a tank with silver fish, and she said that he is their store pet, and they will keep him where they please. I’m disgusted with these people. They are abusive and give you two different stories. I asked the owner if he gets worms and he said that they don’t eat worms. Then, in a different scenario says he eats worms like a trooper, loves his fish friends, and loves where he lives...NOT! They are delusional. The tanks are disgusting. Every fish that I ever bought from there had parasites and died. The puppies and other animals are also in horrible conditions. Don’t waste your money here. They will scam you.

I shop here for fish, tank supplies, and aquatic plants. I have always recieved excellent service from a knowledgeable staff. The prices have always been fair and even competitive with some of the big chain stores in the area. I really appreciate staff that are willing to tell you what fish won't mix well instead of just selling to make a sale.
