My 2 yo fell and got a decent size gash on the back of her head. I went right to the ER. Parking was kind of weird, I couldn’t really figure out where it was ok to park and where it wasn’t. I don’t like valet but it’s pretty cool that they have a free valet parking service. The check in nurse was very patient and kind with my child who was scared. They took us back very quickly and the RN who first evaluated her was very friendly and caring towards my little one. The doctor who came in was amazing! She immediately started talking to my daughter to make her feel more comfortable. She was very gentle and patient with her. She had to get 2 small staples in her head to close the gash. The doctor made the process quick and as painless as possible! Our whole visit was less than an hour which was pretty impressive to me! My only complaint would be that the waiting areas and rooms are very dark and gloomy looking which isn’t the most relaxing setting. And can be scary for kids. Other than that we had a great experience and will definitely use the facility if needed.
Geisinger Community Medical Center is a place that is filled with so many compassionate and dedicated people. From the moment you enter, the comfortable and family-like feeling you are met with is irreplaceable. I would definitely recommend you take all of your health-care needs to GCMC.

I can't say enough good things about my visits here in the past few weeks. Every member of the staff, the parking attendant, the check in workers, the nuses and the doctors made my super awkward visit feel comfortable. Special shout out to Sarah Harvey you were amazing when dealing with me and I'll always appreciate everything you've done for me!
Absolutely the worst hospital that I have been in. All they do is nothing. The least they possibly can. But they do it very well though. 5 stars on that deffently. Do your self a huge favor. And save your own life by going to anouther Hospital. You won't regret it. Nice hospital though. They just need to find some doctors and nurses that are experienced. Even just a little bit would be of some inprovement.
My dad was here 5 times in 5 weeks. Several infections after being admitted. The staff has poor comunications with each other. If they can't find out what is wrong through blood work they keep you for 4 days and release you without getting a diagnosis. If I could give less than 1 star I would.
